FAATY Annual Award
Recognizing Excellence in the Next Generation
In 2011, the Former Administrative Assistant of the Year (FAATY) Award expanded its noble mission of recognizing excellence by supporting the next generation of public servants through the Michael Kinsella Scholarship at LeMoyne College. Named in honor of a beloved founder of the FAATY tradition, the Kinsella Scholarship will assist young college students committed to learning the public policy process and utilizing that knowledge for the betterment of our society. In 2017, the Kinsella Scholarship was fully endowed.
In 2018 we undertook a new effort. Partnering with the State University of New York and the New York State Society, the FAATY Award launched a scholarship program to support New York students interning in Congress. The awardee must be a New York college student with demonstrated interest and high potential for a career in public service, but who otherwise would be unable to intern in Washington without financial support. Thanks to your generous support, we have sponsored twelve students.
