PURPOSE & HISTORY of NEW YORK STATE SOCIETY
The New York State Society
(NYSS), a non-profit,
non-political organization, fosters and promotes friendly relations among its
members through social, educational, cultural, charitable and civic programs
and activities.
The New York State Society of Washington, DC was founded in
1908, holds membership in the National Conference of State Societies
(NCSS) established by an Act of Congress on April 3, 1952 and represents the entire
State of New York.
